Founder's Message
Our History
It started with us doing service work and delivering propane to families trying to survive the 3 degrees freezing weather in uninsulated campers. We met one of these families whose generators were out of fuel, they had no heat, no running water, no sewage system and no hope. They were landowners but still couldn’t get electricity. When we discovered they couldn't get reconnected to power without FEMA or nonprofit sponsorship, that’s when we created Restore Carolina.
Who We Are
We are local volunteers who live right here in the mountains of Western North Carolina. We know this land, we love this land, and we’re here to help it heal—one family at a time. We are committed to restoring more than just electricity. We restore stability, dignity, and hope.
